Or perhaps you want a special holiday – experience unique fauna and flora of Nieuwoudtville - the Place of Hidden Treaures! Within a 20-kilometre stretch – from the top of Van Rhyn’s Pass, out past the Wild Flower Reserve – there are THREE biomes – three vegetation types (Cape Fynbos, Succulent Karoo and the Dolerite Sills). Nieuwoudtville is also the ‘Bulb’ Capital of the World! On the Geological side, we have a Glacial Pavement that is three million years old! The furthest northern point of the Table Mountain Sandstone complex is outside town and Oorlogskloof is the North-Western end of the Cedarberg Corridor. SO – there are MANY seasons and MANY reasons to come to come and be our guest – Nieuwoudtville’s rich diversity ensures that whatever season you come to visit – there will always be something to be explored!
